Mrs. Mamie Shurley, wife of C. C. Shurley, age thirty-three years, died at the Albert Pike hostel, McAlester, Sunday, March 14th, and the remains were brought home the following day. On Tuesday afternoon funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church, Rev. R. W. Davis officiating. Mrs. Shurley was born in Texas thirty-three years ago. Fifteen years ago she was married to C. C. Shurley of this city at Mena, Ark., where she then resided with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Lamb. There were born to this union four children, two of whom survive. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Lamb of Mena, Mrs. Mae Chapman of Oklahoma City and Ernest Lamb of Hope, Ark. brothers were here for the funeral service. Mrs. Shurley was well and favorably known here and possessed many friends who are in sorrow on account of her demise.
