Emily E. (Eastman) Mackin, of Dorchester, died at her home on December 23, 2010. Born and raised in New Hampshire, Mrs. Mackin served in the US Navy Veteran during WWII. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Carney Hospital. Beloved wife of the late John E. Mackin. Loving mother of Louise of Dorchester, John of Kingston, James of Lynnfield, David of Dorchester, Joseph of Quincy, Frances Lawlor of Quincy, Joanne of Dorchester, Jane Mengesha of Malden, Marie Gardner of Quincy, Paul of Barrington, NH, Virginia OBrien of Milton, Robert Mackin of Dorchester and Elizabeth Garvey of Quincy. Also survived by 41 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Sister of the late James Eastman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, Dorchester on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington St., Dorchester Lower Mills, Tuesday 4 -7 p.m. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.
