Barbara Jean Allman, age 81, of Churubusco, IN passed away at 11:29 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home. Born September 10, 1929 in Whitley County, IN, she was the daughter of Ernest L. and Helen L. (Shepard) Pressler.
She graduated from Columbia City High School. On April 17, 1949 she married Guy W. Allman in Columbia City. A resident of Churubusco since 1962, she was a manager and cook at Churubusco School with 29 years of service.
Survivors include her son, Mark William (Sharon) Allman of Elkhart; daughter, Lisa J. (Bryon) Trout of Churubusco; sister, Annabelle Enyeart of Bluffton; 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy W. Allman and brothers, David E. and Eugene L. Pressler.
There will be a private family gathering at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, 2010 with burial at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN.
