Norma Mae Maynard was born on Sept. 2, 1917. She married Carl Edward Maynard on June 15, 1948. They were the parents of one son, Carl Edward Maynard. Her husband died on January 19, 1979 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. A little more than two weeks later, Norma went missing on Feb. 3, 1979 from Boone, Iowa. She is still a missing person (cemetery stone is likely a memorial stone).
