Cyrus C. "Short" TULLIS, 94, Rt. 2, Akron, died at 6:35 p.m. Saturday at Kosciusko Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for a week.
He was born in Kosciusko County to Oscar and Sylvia A. DECKER TULLIS. On Nov. 2, 1919 inSilver Lake he married Opal MEREDITH, who died March 2, 1963. On Nov. 14, 1964 in Fulton County he married Alice MURPHY GAGNON, who survives. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Silver Creek Church of God.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Zelma McCLOUGHAN, Warsaw; two sons, Cleasta D. "Si" [TULLIS], Akron, and Bud [TULLIS], Rochester; four step-daughters, Mrs. Max (Rozella) VanCLEAVE, Warsaw; Mrs. Rodney (Pat) WEAVER, Goshen, and Mrs. Gene (Carolyn) MILLER and Mrs. Robert (Joyce) SHAFER, both of Akron; a step-son, William GAGNON, Silver Lake; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a sister, Esta JOHNSON, Three Rivers, Mich. Preceding in death were four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Silver Creek Church of God with the Rev. Roy WOLFE officiating. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Silver Creek Memorial Fund.
