At Greenville,O.,Mar.19,1895,Miss Ella Dershem,age 31 years and 6 days passed away.

Miss Dershem was born in Gettysburg,Darke Co.,O., and never had the fortune to see her father as be died about six months before she was born. She remained with her mother until her death in 1886. In the following year she established her residence with Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Hunt,Mrs. A.J. Hunt being her sister. This continued to be her home till the time of her death. She had three sisters and two brothers,all of whom survive except one siste.

"Tis the wink of an eye,'tis the draught of a breath,
From the blossom of health to the paleness of death,
From the gilded saloon to the bier and the shroud,
Oh,why should the spirit of mortal be proud?"

Funeral services held from the home of A.J. Hunt, Friday,Mar. 22nd,at 9 o'clock. Sermon by Rev. C.W. Heoffer. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Gettysburg.

Miss Ella Dershem,who died on March 19th at 4 p.m.,after a brief illness from pneumonia,was buried Friday afternoon. She was a very large woman,aged about 30,her coffin filling the hearse door and ten men were required to lower her remains into the grave. It is said her weight was close to 400 pounds.
