Ephraim Joseph Hahn, 94, of Olney, died at 5:16 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown with Rev. Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Stringtown.

Mr. Hahn was born on March 19, 1914, in Richland County, the son of Martin Frank and Helena (Zuber) Hahn.

He married Frances Eugenia Hahn on February 27, 1946.

He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mr. Hahn is survived by his wife, Frances Hann of Olney; daughter, Kathleen Ann Hahn of Champaign; son, Ronald Lee Hahn and his wife, Joan of Huntley; son, Earl Martin “Marty” Hahn and his wife, Alice of Effingham; son, Wendell Eugene Hahn and his wife, Carol of Olney; daughter, Marcia Ellen Zanellato and her husband, William of Sycamore; daughter, Cecilia Marie Steber and her husband, Randy of Olney; sister, Mildred Volk of Olney; brother, James Charles Hahn of Decatur; brother, Carl Hahn of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis Francis; brothers, Julius, Ray, Bernard and Leo; sisters, Aileen Geltz and Margaret Rudolphi; one infant sister; and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church in Stringtown or Olney or Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
