DOROTHEA WATERS
Dorothea D. Waters, 68, Rt1, died at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 1983. She had been in the hospital three weeks, after being involved in an automobile accident.
Born in Miami County Feb. 12, 1915, she was the daughter of Ralph and Laura Sharp Overman.
She married Max Waters Feb. 17, 1935, in McGrawsville, and he survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Janet, wife of Mark Kunkle, Rt 5; one brother, Earl Overman, Rt 1; one sister, Irene, wife of Henry Kreer, Chicago; and two grandchildren. One daughter is deceased.
Mrs. Waters was a member of the McGrawsville United Methodist church, the United Methodist Women, and the Dukes Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Laird Funeral Home in Amboy, with the Rev. Harvey King officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery, Rt 1, Amboy.
