Kenneth J. Edwards, 87, of New Haven, died 4:15 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2003, at White County Hospital in Carmi.
Services were held 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2003, at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha with the Rev. Mark Allen officiating. Burial was in Union Ridge Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation was 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2003, at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 27, 1915, in Omaha, to the late Elmer and Ida (Mills) Edwards. On Nov. 30, 1942, he married Olliebell Pettyjohn, who preceded him in death on April 4, 1992.
He was a farmer.
He is survived by two daughers, Carolyn (Robert) Green of Mount Vernon, Ind. and Linda (John) Jones of Fairfield; a sister, Pauline Brockett of McAllen, Texas; a brother, Ray Edwards of San Gabriel, Calif.; four grandchildren, Carrie Jones, Liz Gulley, Greg Renshaw and Cathy Hyatt; and three great-grandchildren, Brent, Erin and Ken Renshaw.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Gordon and Lawrence Edwards.
