The son of my ancestors, GEORGE & SARAH (FARNUM) ABBOTT, he married Abigail Lovejoy on April 9, 1691 in Andover. He lived at the south end of Andover in 1692 and in 1694 he was one of four "tithing men". Between 1717 and 1721, he was a representative for Andover to the General Court.
On Oct. 7, 1711, the South Parish Church was organized with 14 members, who included Nehemiah Abbott, JOHN JOHNSON, and Deacon John Abbott.
