Mrs. Ruth Donegan Baker, age 90, of Shelbyville, died Friday, December 24, 2010, at Lynchburg Nursing Center.

Funeral Services at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Ron DeWitt will officiate, with burial in Willow Mount Cemetery.

She was born May 20, 1920, in Dickson, Tennessee, to the late Leonard C. and Grace Lankford Donegan.

She retired from Empire Pencil Company and attended First Church of The Nazarene for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alvis Baker, and a son, Don Baker. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, J.C. Donegan, Wilson Donegan, and Leaman Donegan, and a sister, Ethelene Clark.

She is survived by three sons, Gerald Baker, and his wife Betty, of Shelbyville, Phil Baker, and his wife Sandra, of Smyrna, and Dr. Tim Baker, and his wife Natalie, of Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers, Leonard Donegan, Jr. and Terry Donegan, both of Shelbyville; Edith Bateman, of Tullahoma; ten grandchildren, Diane Baker Webb, and her husband Tracy, Lori Baker Craig, and her husband Jon, Jamie Baker and his wife Felicia, Jason Baker, and his wife Angie, Mindee Baker Howard, and her husband Jeffrey, Yance Baker, Shelly M. Alfred, and her husband Michael, Katie Baker, Joshua Baker, and Hannah Baker; great grandchildren, Riley Crowder, Samantha Craig, Sydney Craig, Wesley Craig, Branden Baker, Andrew Baker, Jackson Howard, Blake Howard, and Nadia Alfred.
