Services for Mrs. Elsie M. "Peggy" Pendland, 72, Palestine, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dwight Blankenship officiating.

Burial will be in Land of Memories Cemetery.

Mrs. Pendland died Sunday at a Palestine nursing home after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 31, 1912, in Wilburton, Okla. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Palestine and a retired beautician.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Melva J. Richmond, Palestine; three sons, Alvin L. Pendland and Jerry K. Pendland, both of Palestine, and James R. Pendland, Houston; one sister, Lettie J. Nix, Wichita, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
