FAYETTEVILLE - George Alexander McArthur, 40, died unexpectedly at his home Friday night. He was associated in farming with his father, Adam McArthur. He was educated in Fayetteville High School, Bingham Military Academy and Massey's Business College. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Alice McArthur; a daughter, Margaret McArthur; his father, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Herndon of Bennettsville, S.C. and Mrs. Sarah Weisiger of Alexandria, Va.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.
