Mrs. Bertha Allen Graf Dies in California
Mrs. Bertha Allen Graf, 86, of Ojai, Calif.; formerly of Wheaton, died Friday at a convalescent center in Ojai. She had been hospitalized before entering the convalescent center.
She was born December 8, 1886, at Wheaton and spent most of her life there before she moved to California in 1970. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church at Wheaton.
She was married November 2, 1904 to Henry E. Allen, He died in December, 1962. She was married to Frank (Sam) Graf, March 1, 1970, at Ojai.
Survivors include her husband of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Esther Eisenbis of Nevada, Mo., Mrs. Pearl Keating of San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Grace Wrosch, Onaga, and Mrs. Leitha Graf, Wheaton; two stepson, Leonard Graf, Selma, Calif.; and Donald Graf, Eugene, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Davin, Topeka, and Mrs. Lena Alvord, Merriam; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church at Wheaton with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery northeast of Wheaton.
