Clarence "Bill" Capps, 74, of Caldwell County, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at 12:05 p.m. at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, following a short illness.

A retired construction worker and member of Second Baptist Church of Princeton, he was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Caldwell County, a son of the late Chester Arthur and Audie Mae Alexander Capps.

He was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Earl Capps Jr.; and a brother, Jim Ed McChesney.

Survivors include his wife, Rose McIntosh Capps; two daughters, Rita Bryan of Columbus, Ohio, and LaDonna Rahn of Ft. Smith, Ark.; five grandchildren, David Capps, Jessica Capps, Austin Rahn, Christopher Capps and Addison Rahn; four great-grandchildren, Kate Adams, Rianynn Capps, Darian Pendley and Shelby Capps; a brother, Monroe Capps of Caldwell County; and a sister, Mary Rose Martin of Caldwell County.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton. Bro. Thomas Martin officiated the service, assisted by the Rev. Darrell Eldridge and the Rev. Duane Burden.

Burial followed in Crossroads Cemetery.
