On the 1850 Rockbridge Co., VA census, I found farmer James Adams 62; other Adams: SARAH, 58; Nancy, 20 plus William Peters, 13. James was born in PA and the rest in VA.
Sarah McCroskey was the wife of James Adams. (Her dates and parents were not listed). James and Sarah had children: Robert, John, Joseph, Hugh, Patsy, Mary Jane and Nancy and were born in Rockbridge Co., VA. Some of their family are also buried at this cemetery.
