Billy Francis Ezzell was born June 17, 1934 in Strong City, Oklahoma and died December 19, 2010 in Grapevine, Texas. He was the youngest son of Frank and Ida Mae Ezzell of Sayre, Oklahoma. He retired in 2002 from Tulsa Cash Register Company after 42 years of service. He accepted Christ in 1957 and served Him faithfully for 53 years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 36 years where he served on the Church Board in numerous capacities, taught children's and adult Sunday School, was a youth director, Sunday School Superintendent, and a member of Men's Prayer Group. He served on the board for Youth for Christ in Tulsa and as an election judge for his precinct for many years. Since moving to Texas in 2006, he was a member of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas where
he was a participant in Alpha Men's Group and Prime Timers. He was a godly man and a gentle giant with a strong moral compass. He had an innate sense of "what Jesus would do." He gave rides to strangers and his last dollar to anyone in need. He was a hard worker who always lent a helping hand to his friends and neighbors. He was a faithful and loving husband to his wife, a strong provider and tender counselor for his children, a second father to his son-in-law, and the biggest fan of and best friend to his grandsons. He was preceded in death by his son, Greg Ezzell, his parents, Frank and Ida Mae Ezzell, and his brother, Adeen Ezzell. He is survived by his wife, Lou of North Richland Hills, Texas who he had been married to for 55 years; his daughter, Gaylene Schueller, son-in-law, David Schueller, and grandsons, Seth and Isaac Schueller, all of Southlake, Texas; his brother, Don Ezzell and his wife, Jorja, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and brother, Tom Ezzell and his wife, Lorraine Ezzell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and sister-in-law, Betty Ezzell of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; an aunt, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Service will be 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at First Church of the Nazarene. Moore's Southlawn.
