Thomas Franklin Thompson was the son of Frances "Fannie" Dixon-Thompson and Pleasant "Plez" F. Thompson. He was the brother of Robert Henderson, Sallie (Hinkle-Wiggins), Hulda Brinson (Medley-Dixon), Leota Tennessee "Tenny" (Jacobs), and Rufus A. Thompson. He married Annie Melvina Hutcheson, Feb. 17, 1892. They were the parents of Velma Ruth (Clifft), Elva Ava, and Frances "Frankie" Elizabeth Thompson. Tom was injured severely in a mill accident as a young man, and spent several years recovering. The story is recorded in Owen Dixon's Matthew Dixon Genealogy 1776-1940, and is posted here on this memorial. Tom died in 1925 and Melvina moved to Oxford near her daughter Ruth. May Tom rest in peace.
