--- Henry Hazlett, one of the first settlers of Sioux county, died last Sunday Morning at his home eight miles west of here, after an illness of about two weeks. He came to this county in 1871 and has since resided here continually. The funeral services were held Tuesday and the remains interred in the Beloit cemetery. He leaves a wife and a family of grown up children to mourn his loss, and their sorrow is shared by all who were acquainted with him. Possessed of a generous and warm-hearted disposition, sterling qualities and manly character, he was respected by all. –-Rock Valley Register
