Sara Elizabeth (Myers) Renninger died peacefully after a brief illness in her 97th year on Tuesday, December 20, 2010, at Landis Homes where she was a resident for the past four years. She was the widow of Harry K. Renninger and formerly resided at Valleybrook Estates.

Sara was the youngest of four children born to the late Sarah Armstrong and George Jefferson Myers. She was educated through the twelfth grade, attending Drumore and Quarryville High Schools. Sara then spent the major part of her career working for RCA. She enjoyed many years attending family reunions, Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church chicken and waffle suppers and always looked forward to the Rawlinsville Camp Meeting each year. She and her husband, Harry, enjoyed traveling and making each Christmas special for their nieces and nephews.

A former member of Eastern Star and a Red Cross Volunteer at Lancaster General Hospital, she was a devoted member of Highland Presbyterian Church. Sara is predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Mae Myers, Ruth Anna Myers Wohr, and a brother, G. Wesley Myers. She is survived by nieces, June Louise Evans (Warren E., Jr.), Mary Elizabeth Eckman (D. Richard, deceased), Lorraine Braightmyer (Robert L.), great-nieces, Carol Evans Reichler (Al), Sally Evans Pettinato, Anita Braightmyer; great-nephews, David and John Eckman (Teresa and Bevan), Craig Braightmyer, Brian Braightmyer, Gary Braightmyer; and, great-great nieces and nephew, Emily Evans Reichler Swarr, Abigail Armstrong Reichler Stewart, Katie Alexandra Pettinato Sabatini, and Charles-Andrew Evans Reichler. She is also survived by several step-children.

The family gratefully thanks Sara's caregivers at Landis Homes and Hospice. We have lost a most precious "elder" member of our family who loved life, laughter and her family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service from Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 E. Roseville Road, Lancaster, PA on Thursday, December 23, at 10:00 A.M. Family will greet friends immediately following the memorial service. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be sent to Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville, PA 17566, to Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 East Roseville Road, Lancaster, PA 17601, or to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, P.O.
