Richard W. Cox, 59, passed away August 9, 1990 at his Murray home, after a valiant fight with cancer.
Born July 12, 1931, Portland, Oregon, to Clyde Wilbur and Goldie Florence Lindberg Cox.
Married Charlotte Jensen, February 12, 1954 in Denver, Colorado; later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He was a truck driver and freight handler for Consolidated Freight Ways for over 30 years.
Worked at the Holladay Gun Club for many years.
Avid outdoorsman.
Loved working with wood.
Loved his children and grandkids.
Survived by his wife, Charlotte, Murray; children and their spouses, Philip Lindsay and Sheri Cox, Murray; Jeffrey Dean and Gerri Cox, Salt Lake City; David Bruce and Joanelle Cox, West Valley City; Paul Richard and Jana Cox, Salt Lake City; Leslie Cox Perea and Rick Perea, Magna; nine grandchildren; brother, Clyde Robert Cox, Portland, Oregon.
Preceded in death by sister, Maryann Jeppson.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 11, 1990, 11 a.m., Murray 21st LDS Ward Chapel, 6100 South 100 West.
Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East and Saturday, one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
