Cora Christopherson, 92, formerly of Mondovi, passed away from this life to her eternal home Sunday, August 27, 2000 at the Oakwood Villa, where she had lived since 1997.
She was born to John and Inga Anderson on June 9, 1908 in Buffalo, N.D. She married Elmer Christopherson on August 18, 1927. They moved to Wisconsin shortly after they were married. She always loved baking and cooking and having family around. When she was able she loved her garden and flowers.
She is survived by four daughters, Arline Phillips of Brooklyn Center, Minn., Joan (George) Osborne of Morgan, NJ; Helen (Rich) Jorgenson of Eau Claire, Deborah (John) Moseng of Eau Claire; two sons, Earl "Marvin" Christopherson and Lenny (Sharon) Christopherson all of Mondovi; sixteen grandchildren, Debbie Phillips of Minn., Jody Dulebohn of Minn., Elizabeth Higgins of Minn., Alex Christopherson of Ind., Robin Ogborne of NJ; Daniel Ogborne of NJ, Daniel Ogborne; Suzanne Ogborne of JN, Cori Linehan of Minn., Elisa Jorgenson of Wis., Mark Christopherson of WIs., Pam Darst of Ill., Kimberly Fedie of Wis., Scott Christopherson, of Wis., Carla Larson of Wis., Jason Schultz of Wis., Brandon Schultz of Wis.; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva McCroskey of ND and Alice Linse of Wis.
Preceding her in death was an infant daughter Eleanor Christopherson; son-in-law Robert Phillips; sisters, Mae Anderson and Francis Johnson; brothers, Ernest, Arthur and Alvin.
The funeral will be at Fuller Speckien Funeral Home, 3209 Rudoph Road, Eau Claire on Friday, September 1, 2000 at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor George Olinske will officiate. Internment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
