Mrs. Douglas, 67, Widow of Pilot On the Potomac

Mrs. William H. Douglas, 67, a lifelong Washington resident, died yesterday at Sibley Hospital.
The former Mazie H. Baker, Mrs. Douglas was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Baker of Washington. Her father, known as "Captain Jim" on the waterfront, was a licensed pilot who more than 50 years ago ran the excursion boats River Queen and Harry Randall down the Potomac to the old River View amusement park and Marshall Hall.
Mrs. Douglas' husband died three years ago. She is survived by nine children, Walter J., 5400 Sixtyseventh avenue, East Riverdale; James H., Idlewood road, Falls Church; Mrs. Rose Brooks, 320 Leonard road, Falls Church; Mrs. Betty Ann Frissell, 5002 Forty-third avenue, Hyattsville; Mrs. Ollie V. Knott, 57D Ridge road, Greenbelt, and William H., Robert A., Mary Ellen and Barbara M., all of the home address, 911 F street N.E.
A brother, Richard Baker, 7513 Foster drive, District Heights, Md., also survives, as well as 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lee's Funeral Home, Fourth and Massachusetts avenue N.E., with burial in Congressional Cemetery.
