Grace Lee Bennett, 102, died Monday, December 20, 2010 in Graham. Funeral services are scheduled Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Tull of Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Grace was born December 22, 1907 in Cooper, Texas to the late Frank and Eula Shepherd Moses. She married Pearl Bennett, October 7, 1945 in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1979. Grace was a longtime resident of Graham and a member of the First Baptist Church. She retired from Graham Independent School District where she had worked in the cafeteria. She also worked in retail sales at several stores in Graham. She was a member of Red Hat Club, Garden Club, VFW, and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #668.
Survivors include; brother, Jesse Moses and wife Claudia of Graham; two grandchildren, Sherry Bowen and husband Bill of Granbury and Bobby Marchant and wife Renee of Ennis; four great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Grace was preceded in death by a son, Charles Edwin Marchant; grandson, Charles David Marchant; four sisters, Bernice Jennings, Abbie Sullivan, Bertha Foster, and Billie Jean Ramzy; two brothers, Erskine and J. Neal Moses.
The family will receive friends at Morrison Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
