The family will receive visitors Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. at Community Memorial Funeral Home at 1443 North 2nd Street, Abilene, Texas. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery on Wednesday at 4:00 pm with Father Luke Back officiating.
Mozelle was born October 19th, 1926 to Ida Cynthia Massey Bates and Bennie Lee Bates of Abilene, Texas. She graduated from Abilene Christian High School and worked as a family practitioner nurse and surgical office nurse for Dr. D.G. Strole and Doctor Jenson. She worked in the medical field for 30 plus years.
Mozelle married Herbert Stoker Gray, July 13th, 1946, in Reno, Nevada. They had 2 sons, David Lee Gray of Fort Worth, Texas and Ricky Lynn Gray of Abilene, Texas.
She liked to square dance, bowl and enjoyed doing things with her family, She loved to crotchet. She was a loving wife, mother & grandmother.
Mozelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eldest son, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
Survivors include her youngest son Ricky Lynn Gray of Abilene, Texas; daughter-in-law Gail Gray and grandson Michael Gray of Fort Worth, Texas.
Her sister Leta Wright of Shiner, Texas, sister-in-law Evalyn (Bunny) Bates of Sweetwater, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society or Big Country Hospice Care of Abilene, Texas.
