CHICOPEE - Phyllis A. McCarthy, 80, of Springfield, died on Monday, April 7, 2008 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was a retired time keeper for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, a United Technologies Co. in East Hartford, CT. Phyllis was born on September 9, 1927 in Springfield, lived in Chicopee and then in Springfield. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Kober) Johnson. Phyllis was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church in Springfield and a 1944 graduate of Chicopee High School. She is predeceased by her first husband, Henry J. Connors and her second husband, John W. McCarthy. Phyllis is survived by three sons, Keith Connors and his wife, Sherry of Old Saybrook, CT, Craig Connors of Pahrump, NV and Wayne Connors of Springfield; two daughters, Colleen Rosenberg of Bradenton, FL and Jean Perry of West Springfield; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The funeral home service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee Falls at 11 am.
