Lou Armstrong, 75, Horton, KS, passed away late Friday, December 28, 1984 at a Horton Hospital.

Mr. Armstrong was self-employed most of his life in the Horton area.

He was born October 29, 1909, at Willis, KS, the son of Charles and Vesta (Bower) Armstrong.

Mr. Armstrong was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Chamber of Commerce, all at Horton.

He was married to Delores Winkelbauer Sept. 30, 1937, at St. Leo's parish house in Horton. She died Sept. 2, 1982.

Survivors include three daughters; Mrs. Marilyn Shoal, Columbia Falls, Mont., Marsha Armstrong, Horton, and Mrs. Kay Schmidt, Baton Rouge, La., two sons; Max Armstrong and Leonard "Corky" Armstrong, both of Topeka, KS, four brothers; Ivan Armstrong and Wyatt Armstrong, both of Horton, Carl Armstrong, Auburn, Neb., and Merle Armstrong, Reserve, KS, and seven grandchildren.

Mass of christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Leo's Catholic Church here. Burial will be in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery at Horton. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at Maple-Chaney Mortuary here. Memorial contributions may be made to Horton Community Hospital.
