Mrs. Medora B. Whinrey died at her home, 1520 W. Main St. at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday after a year's illness. She was the widow of Ed Whinrey, former druggist of Muncie who died in 1933.
The daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. C.C. Boyer of Brocton, Ill., she was born in that community but came to Muncie with her husband in 1898 when he entered the druggist business here.
She was a lifelong member of the Christian Church and was an active member of the Hazelwood Christian Church until her illness. She was a member of the Bethany Class of the church, of the women's organizations and of the Muncie Woman's Club and the Muncie chapter, 194, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Earl K. Parsons, Muncie; Mrs. George N. Griffith of Sterling, Ill.; two sons, Robert B. Whinrey, Muncie, and Richard E. Whinrey, Indianapolis 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made at the Parson Mortuary.
