Funeral services for Mrs. Dollie Carter, 61, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Overton officiating assisted by the Rev. L. B. Morgan. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter, of Rt. 3, Lufkin, died suddenly Sunday afternoon. She was born on Feb. 1, 1905 in Angelina County and had resided here all of her life. She was a member of the Redland Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Clay Carter; daughter, Mrs. Lynn Jones; sons, Murray C. Carter, David Carter and Harry Carter; sisters, Mrs. Gladys Hughes, Mrs. Bink Newburn, Mrs. Ida Carroll, Mrs. Selma Billingsley and Mrs. Addie Franklin; 5 grandchildren.
