Appearing in the Clark County Herald, Thursday, May 17, 1900, page 1:

--Mrs. Hannah Green died at her home in Vincennes, Ind. Last Thursday, aged nearly 80 years, she was the eldest child of John Bartlett, one of the pioneers of this section, and hence a sister to Archer Bartlett, Mrs. R. L. Dulaney, Mrs. Edwin Harlan and Mrs. John Scholfield. Nearly sixty years ago she married Wm. Green. Nearly all their married life was spent in Vincennes. Mrs. Green leaves a husband and seven children, three girls and four boys. The funeral services were held this Saturday.

Mrs. Hannah Bartlett Green departed this life Thursday afternoon at 8:00 o'clock May 10th, at the advanced age of 78 years, at her home on Main Street. Deceased was born near Marshall, Ill., Dec. 13, 1826, and when at the age of maturity she became a resident of Vincennes and has lived her continuously since that time. Her husband William Green and seven children all grown to maturity survive her,--Mrs. T.H. Agnew, Mrs. Perry Tindolph, Miss Laura Green and Will Green of this city; John and Frank Green, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. James Downs, of Minneapolis.
The funeral services will be conducted from the late residence of the deceased at 4:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. J.E. Wolford of the First Baptist church will have charge of the service
