Lucy A. Breitenbach, 83, Washington, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at Grandview Healthcare Center, Washington.

Mrs. Breitenbach was born March 2, 1923, in Gerald, the daughter of Tarlton Stephens and wife Genevieve, nee Gardner.


She was united in marriage to Clarence Breitenbach May 12, 1945, in Union. Mrs. Breitenbach was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ray Stephens; and one sister, Opal Klott. She is survived by three sons, Melvin and Kenny Breitenbach, both of Washington, and Jerry Breitenbach and wife Sandy, Union; one daughter, Sheryl Vejvoda and husband Don, Washington; one brother, Gilbert Stephens and wife Bernice, Hermann; one sister, Margie Mitchell, Washington; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Washington. Father James Brynes officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Washington. Memorials to Our Lady of Lourdes School or the Franklin County Humane Society are preferred. The family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
