Nelson, 88, 515 W. Wayne, passed away at 11:00 a.m., at his home.
He was a son to William and Mary (Frahm) Hoenie. In 1900, he married Attie Winger, who survived him.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Lime and Belva Mendenhall, both Celina; a sister, Mrs. Bert Kistler, Dayton; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was a retired city employee.
Services were in W.H. Dick and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Donald Bachman, officiating.
