Albert Dewey, passed from this life on Dec. 14, 1991 after a lengthy illness. Dewey was born July 26, 1898 in Woodruff Co., Ar. to Walter J. and Elizabeth White Brothers. One of 12 children, he was preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers, Raymond, Chester, Talley, Bryan, Marshall, Conway, and Darragh; sisters, Mamie and Gladys. His father was a farmer and minister in the Atoka area until his death in 1958. Dewey retired from the Santa Fe RR after 51 years service and at 70 years of age in 1968. He is survived by 2 daughters, Bernadine McPherson and her husband, Royal (Mac), Geraldine Koban and her husband, John W.; one brother, Jay and his wife, Ruby of Union City, Ok.; one sister, Ona Ray; and
sister-in-law, Helen Brothers. He is also survived by 4
grandchildren, Carol Jobe, Del City, Nancy Koban, MWC, Joanne Henning, Del City, and John Daniel Koban, OKC; also survived by 3 great grandsons, Ron Oldham, Mark and Timothy Henning, and 1 great-great grandson, Kendell Oldham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
