Thera Jane Cordon Ellison Cox died February 27, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah, after living a long and full life.
She was born in 1903 in Brigham City, Utah, the eighth child of Herbert H. and Estella Cordon. She was preceded in death by her siblings and by her husband, L.W. "Dutch" Cox.
She is survived by her only son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Karen R. Ellison, Salt Lake City; her four grandchildren, Julie Elison, Hawaii; Cristan Ellison-Hayashi, Barry Ellison, and Brian Ellison, all of Salt Lake City; and one great-grandchild, Stuart Hayashi.
She lived through the San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, grew up in Ogden, and lived most of her adult life in Salt Lake City. She was one of the first graduates of Weber college. In her later life, she was active in senior citizens. She loved to dance, garden, and shop. Although her family and friends will miss her, they are glad she was able to live so long and well.
Graveside services will be held Sunda, March 3rd, 3 p.m., Aultorest Memorial Park Cemetery, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Sunday, 12-1 p.m. in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Utah Heart Association, 645 East 4th South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102.
