Clarence C. Bippert, Jr, age 79, of Rio Medina, TX, passed away Dec. 19, 2010 in Castroville, TX. Clarence was born Nov. 10, 1931 in San Antonio, TX to the late Clarence C. and Martha A. Wurzbach Bippert, Sr.

He is also preceded in death by his brother Nelson Bippert and by numerous aunts and uncles. Clarence graduated from Jefferson High School in 1948, he served two years in the United States Army and remained in the Army in active reserves for six years. Clarence was a farmer in eastern Medina County and also worked many years as a crew forman for the San Antonio Water Board, now known as SAWS. Survivors include his brothers and thier spouses, Melvin and Eloise Bippert of San Antonio, Thomas and Jacquelyn Bippert of Rio Medina, Bill and Frances Bippert of Castroville, and Bob Bippert of San Antonio; aunts, Erna Day, and Tusnelda Stoever Byram both of San Antonio; also by numerous nieces and nephews.

The Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home will be open on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at 10 a.m. Zion Lutheran Church in Castroville. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Castroville with military honors.
