J. D. Roden, a railroad man, of Monroe, died in Hot Springs, Ark., Tuesday, December 27. The body was brought through Monroe yesterday, enroute to Grayson, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. A. Porter. Interment was made in the Welcome Home cemetery. The deceased leaves a widow and small baby. Deputy Sheriff D. L. Roper and family, of Monroe, attended the funeral at Grayson.
