Edward Linsey Richey, III,
age 50, of Belleville, MI, formerly of Livonia, MI, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010 at his home. He was born November 28, 1960 in Taunton, Massachusetts, son of Edward L. & Betty Lou (Bowden) Richey, Jr.
He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, the Smokey Mountains, black bears, bonfires and cookouts. He was a very social person who had many friends. He loved classic car shows and football. His favorite team was the New England Patriots.
Ed is survived by his wife of nearly 32 years, Veronica L. (Yeager) Richey, a son Edward Linsey Richey IV of Marshall, MI, a daughter Angela Samantha (Thomas) Pepper of Belleville, MI, a grandson Jonathon Pepper, his parents Ed & Betty Richey of Livonia, MI, a sister Linda Jo Chalmers of Livonia, MI, two brothers William Richey of Belleville, MI and Mark Richey of Deerfield Beach, Florida, also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday and Noon-4 PM and 6-8 PM Tuesday with a 10:00 AM Funeral Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at David C. Brown Funeral Home, Belleville. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Belleville, MI.
No flowers will be accepted due to an allergy in the family. Please only green plants, silk flowers, or Memorial contributions to Michigan Heart Association would be greatly appreciated.
