Zora Berryman will be remember by many as the member of the church at Essary Springs who lived almost across the road from the church building and was alway ready to give visitors a guided tour of the church building and its history. She died in January 2009 and is buried in the Essary Springs Cemetery.

Zora Ola Kinney Berryman was born July 1, 1926 in Shelby County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Alfred Henry and Essie Mae Williams Kinney.

She was united in marriage to J. B. Berryman on February 21, 1948. Mr. Berryman preceded her in death on April 22, 1999.

Mrs. Berryman was a homemaker and was retired as a machine operator with Walden Manufacturing Company in Walden, MS. She was a member of the Essary Springs church of Christ in Pocahontas, Tennessee. She was also a member of the Eastern star. A native of Shelby County, she lived in Hardeman County for over 40 years. She loved her family very much and loved having her children and grandchildren visit. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers and quilting.

Mrs. Berryman departed this life on January 21, 2009 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 6 Months, 20 Days. She is survived by three sons, Jimmie Wayne Berryman and wife Peggy, Dennis James Berryman and wife Kathie all of Ramer, TN, Michael Todd Berryman and wife Annette of Adamsville, TN; a brother, Glen Kinney and wife Lorine of Whiteville, TN; eight grandchildren, Anthony Wayne Berryman and wife Paige, Stephen Wade Berryman all of Ramer, TN, Joshua Drew Berryman and wife Elizabeth of Selmer, TN, Jessica Marie Boyles and husband Jeremiah, Jarrett Todd Berryman and wife Laura all of Middleton, TN, Tyler Andrew Berryman, Kelsee Jordan Blakely, and Kaylee Grace Blakely all of Adamsville, TN; six great grandchildren, Lucy Alayna Berryman, Trudy Makenna Berryman both of Ramer, TN, Ashton Culley Boyles, Addyson Paige Boyles both of Middleton, TN, Michael Joseph Berryman of Burnsville, TN, and Jace Colby Berryman of Ramer, TN.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Berryman was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Hubble, Margaret Mayfield; five brothers, Marvin Kinney, Wayne Kinney, Asbury Kinney, James Kinney and George Kinney.
