Mrs. M. E. MacDonald, Gananoque, The funeral of Mrs. Margaret MacDonald 85, took place from the residence of her sister Mrs. Noah Gauthier, North Street, Gananoque to St. John's Church where Requiem Mass will be sung by Rev. Father R. E. Carey, Interred at St. John's Cemetery, Gananoque.
Born on Howe Island, Mrs. MacDonald, was a daughter of the late James Amo and his wife the former Elizabeth Pelow. She came to Gananoque at an early age, and later was well known as a dressmaker. She was married to the late John MacDonald, who predeceased her some 16 years ago. She was predeceased by eight brothers, James, Peter, Alex, William, Nelson, Frank, and Joseph and one sister Mrs. James Gagnon. Mrs. MacDonald, who died early Friday morning at Hotel Dieu Hospital was a member of St. John's Church and CWL. Bearers were six nephews.
