Thursday morning following an extended
illness. Joe was born in Tampa, Fla.,
Sept. 3, 1917 and had lived in Immokalee
since 1948. He was a excellent pilot and
had served as a flight instructor in
the Air Force during WW II, he was a crop
duster in Immokalee, had flown mail from
Ft. Myers to Tampa, and had logged over
47,000 hours flying time. He had been
a constable for Collier County and was a
member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star,
and the QB Club of Ft. Myers.
Joe is survived by his wife, Louise
Brown of Immokalee, one brother, Derrell
Brown of Odessa Fla; two grandchildren,
Patrick Corbitt of St. James and Velma
Rayburn of Port St. Lucie; and one great
grandchild.
