Amos M. Clester 76, Amboy, died suddenly in his car at 2 P.M., Friday while on a business trip to Marion. Death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Clester had just parked in downtown Marion. His wife had gone to a nearby store and when she returned she found him slumped over the wheel of the car.
Mr. Clester had lived in Amboy 30 years and was a retired Pennsylvania railroad employee, having retired in 1937. He was born in Grant county Nov. 15 1878, the son of Daniel and Martha (Flummer) Clester. He was married Dec 7 1899 to Cora Baker.
Surviving with his wife, Cora, are two sons, Kenneth, Ft. Wayne, and Darrell, St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren, and one great - grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M., Monday (CDT) from the Zook and Larrison Chapel, Converse, with Rev. Leroy Myers, Kokomo, officiating. Burial will be in the Amboy cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 P.M., Saturday.
