Yerrina Frances Garrett/Rhoades
Birth 30 Oct 1850 in Macon, Mason Co., Illinois, USA
Death 5 Apr 1881 in Kilbourne, Mason Co., Illinois, USA

Yerrina was the daughter of Joel Garrett and Anna Eliza Garrett (yes same last name different lines).
On 5 Apr 1881 Yerrina gave birth to a set of twins Chloe and Irene and by the 5 Apr 1881 all three of them had died. Richard A. Rhoades packed up everything he had after she was laid to rest in this cemetery, sold his farm in Kilbourne, Mason Co. IL and with his remaining family went back to Medicine, Mercer Co. MO and stayed there until he died in 1921. My mother had told me that he couldn't stand to be there that he was so grief stricken that he couldn't even farm his land. Richards' sister Mary Elizabeth Rhoades had married Yerrina's older brother Jacob Garrett and they had farms sitting close to one another. Mary probably was there when those twins were born and she probably took care of Yerrina's children for a little while after her death as well. It probably took Richard awhile before he got back to MO with 3 children all under the age of 10, the youngest one being only 4yrs old at that time. It would have been very hard to do back then. Total children born to Yerrina is 6. 1. Mary Elizabeth b. 1869 d. 1870 2. Saphronia b. 1871 d. 1980 3. Lila Isabelle (Belle)b. 1875 d. 1958 4. Albert (Rev) b. 1877 d. 1972 5. Chloe b. 5 Apr 1881 d. 5 Apr 1881 6. Irene b. 5 Apr 1881 d. 5 Apr 1881.
