Henderson, John Robert – 1944

John Robert Henderson, a former resident of the Collinsville community died at his home in Durant, Okla., Tuesday. Funeral services were held at the Mt. Zion Baptist church. Wednesday at 2 pm with a Durant minister officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. He had been ill for several months., but his death was the result of a heart attack.
Mr. Henderson was born near here Sept. 23, 1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Henderson. He lived here until a few years ago, when he moved to Durant, Okla.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Clate Curlee of Denison, Mrs. Hattie Richardson of Crosbyton and Misses Charlotta and Ojetie Henderson, three sisters, Mrs. Baxter of Tioga, Mrs. Lorine Scoggins of this place, and Mrs. Lillian Sinclair of East Texas, two sons, Jim Henderson of West Texas and Henry Henderson of near Gunter. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
