Born March 13, 1922 to Harold and Margaret Anderson in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. BA degree University of Minnesota, then married John H. Bonbright Jr. They had four sons. John, Robert, William and Thomas.

Joan loved her family and her church....Montclair Methodist Church. She was an avid golfer, skier and loved all things to do with outdoor activities. Joan was always involved in the community through volunteerism and helping through her church. She actively involved herself in politics and spent considerable time supporting the Republican party. She participated in bridge clubs, garden clubs, social clubs, investment "ladies group" and countless other activities. Her energy and joyous spirit were contagious and even sometimes overwhelming. She and her husband John, (better known as "Jack" by his friends), were married 63 years. Between them, they had an abundance of friends and love. She had a rich, varied and long life. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all
