She was the daughter of Alonzo and Ada (Swartzel) Combs. She was married first to Jack Harrod, who survives. In 1981, she married Paul V. Dearbaugh, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Richard Harrod, Chicago, IL; two daughters: Linda (Jack) McNally, Harlingen, TX, and Diana (Bud) Corley, Charlotte, NC; three stepchildren: Pat Dearbaugh, Indianapolis, IN, Judy (Jack) Krebs, Franklin, and Jon (Jeffrey) Dearbaugh, Wapakoneta; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four siblings: William 'Bill', Robert, Vernon, and Ellen; and three stepsons: Mike, Jeff and Eric.
Retired after 25 years of service from Lima Memorial Hospital, as a secretary, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Wapak. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, traveling with Paul, visiting friends and of course Kewpee hamburgers and sugar cream pie.
Due to health concerns of the Covid virus, private family services will be at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, Wapak, with Pastor Josh Tissot officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapak.
