Fannie was from Lewis Co. She was the daughter of William "Billy" M. & America Grace (Faulkner) Monroe. Fannie's 1st 2 children, Jessie born in @1899 Adams Co., OH & Allie born in 1900 in Lewis Co., were the children of "Tall" or "Tale" Stephenson. It's not thought that they were married. Two of Fannie's brothers were married to Stephenson sisters. It's suspected that the sisters are related to Talk/Tale Stephenson. In @1904, Fannie married Jack Branham of Adams Co. who was 8 yrs. her junior. Her kids used his name, but it's not known that Jack adopted them. He was the only father they ever knew. Also, Allie would marry Jack's brother Dave & keep the Branham name. Fannie & Jack settled in Meigs Township, Adams Co. & had 6 more kids - Albert in 1905, Pilcher (son) in 1908, Grace in 1910, Sam in 1912, Ethel /EE thool/ in 1915 & Garnet in 1917. Little Garnet only lived 2 days. In 1921, her grandson Carless Branham (Allie's) died at 10 mon. old. In 1925, her grandson Oakie Branham died at 1 yr. old (Allie's). In 1940, her son Pilcher died at 32 yrs. old. In 1941, her granddaughter Thelma Grace Branham died of Tubercular Meningitis at 4 yrs. old (Albert's). In 1942, her grandson Wm. Branham died in a wreck at 22 yrs old (Jessie's). Fannie died at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine Logan Co., OH where she was living with Allie. Fannie & Jack were separated, but it's not thought that they divorced. He stayed in Adams Co.
