Bill and his younger brother Charley had a Grocery store in the Sedan area about 1910. They later moved the store to the new Sedan townsite when the Postoffice was established there. They had bought out their fathers fixtures and groceries from his store. His church membership was at the United Brethren Church in Sedan.
