In 1900 she and her husband and their two daughters lived in a house they were renting at 165 Pearl in New Castle, PA. He was a carpenter. Also living with them were two 22-year-old boarders, Mary Ewing (possibly her sister) and Sadie Minteer, whose relationship has not been determined.

In 1906 Charles bought some property in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, PA from J.G. Wood for $812.50.

In 1910 she and her husband and their four children lived on a farm in Slippery Rock Township.

In 1920 she and her three youngest surviving children lived on a farm in Perry Township, Lawrence County, PA, which they owned with a mortgage.

Her second husband was Henry Moyer.
