Born May 25, 1914 at Stockton, she married George F. Axelson in 1957. He died Jan. 6, 1971.
She was a cook at Marianne's Restaurant in Plainville; A member of the VFW Auxiliary, Stockton; and Sunflower Sisters of Plainville. She attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Ness City.
Survivors include one son, Harry L. Cross, Ness City; one brother, George Lesperance, Silver City, N.M.; one sister, Betty Ford, Las Cruces, N.M.; five grandchildren, and four stepsons, George Axelson, Great Bend; John Axelson, Natoma; Robert Axelson, Plainville; and Ronald Axelson, Hennessy, Okla.
Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday afternoon at Smith's Funeral Home in Stockton with Larry Benedick officiating. Burial will be in the Stockton Cemetery.
