s/o Lurson George Britten & Sarah Sampson, h/o Jessie Mary Lennon, f/o 9/10 Children. Married Jessie in 1848/49

Leonard enlisted with the Kings Royal Rifle Corps "60th Rifles" in 1870 and served in India around 1875 - 1878. Collected a British Pension until his death in 1915.

Emigrated to the US in 1890 and rented a home in Pinconning.
